THE NAKED BLADE

A good yarn in the Dumas manner. Melodrama -- adventure -- the setting Costa Rica and the Spanish islands at the time when buccaneers and pirates menaced the peace. A story of chivalry on the part of a derelict Englishman, soldier of fortune, who falls in love with a Spanish beauty, and dedicates his life to her, daring all and winning against fearful odds. Grand escape reading -- swift paced narrative. The success of The Golden Knight should give this a good start in rental libraries.
