THE BIG BOOK OF REAL TRAINS

Here's another big, highly glazed flat book (same size and shape as The Night Before Christmas) -- the text and pictures presenting factual data on a freight train, with photographic type of illustrations in high color, and the answers to the questions small boys ask from four up in the captions. The end papers show special types of locomotives; the pages following take in sequence, the locomotive, tender, automobile car, refrigerator car, gondola, flat car, hopper, cattle car, tank car, caboose. Then comes a double spread showing parts of the locomotive, and another showing train signals. Surely popular with almost any small boy. First aid for harassed parents on a journey.
