ETHAN: The Shepherd Boy

Ethan, serving boy in the house of a man of wealth, in Jerusalem of 1 B.C., joins his sole kinsman, a shepherd uncle who guards his flocks alone in the hills near Tekoa. Uncle Amasa wants no kin nor helper, but Ethan persists in staying as he learns to love the life of the shepherd deeply. Ethan and Amasa are slowly drawn together as Amasa's suspicions give way before Ethan's reliability and gentleness. Then the night of the great miracle, when a Child is born in a manger, brings this Christ story into the background of the shepherds who came to Him and Ethan who gave the only thing he had.
