THE BESEIGED

A new facet of the depression story, in almost optimistic vein. An account of two boys, their families, their jobs, their girls, in a suburban town. For the most part a quiet story, dealing with everyday people and everyday things, and genuine in the homespun simplicity of the subject and the telling. Hasn't quite enough verve and punch to get over.
