RABBITS RAFFERTY

With a Pooh propensity for food and the bumbling heroics of the Keystone Cops, Rabbits (fat enough for two or three) Rafferty opposes the forces of evil--led by Mink Mumsey-in Salemtown. Otter O'Toole, Gopher Gogarty, Owl O'Grady and other alliterative beasties animate a lively capture-rescue-and-escape sequence (which would do well on screen) as the Mink, Piggy Plimpton and Weasel Wiley attempt a takeover. Mumsey and his mob are foiled because of Rabbits' accidental intelligence, and the town celebrates RR Day in appreciation. Best as a chapter a night of near-slapstick shenanigans.
