THE ATOMIC AGE OPENS

A good timely job, considering the speed at which it was turned out -- almost as the news was coming over the ticker tape. It is a streamlined editing job, a selection of newspaper and magazine articles discussing atomic energy, its implications in war and peace. The science section, clearly illustrated, is well developed and lucid. The use of complete articles inevitably causes some overlapping and duplication, and consequent lagging points for readers. Nevertheless, an extraordinary value.
