IN BIBLE DAYS

An unusual and effective way to tell the story of the Bible to children, so that- at the close- the customs and habits of the people of Palestine in Biblical times supplement the historical sequence of the familiar tales of Old Testament and New. From the creation, on through the story of the early Hebrews, in Egypt, in the wilderness, in the promised land -- the story from the gospels, of Jesus and his followers, largely in excerpts from the text, expanded with commentary and explanations which round it out so that it seems a continuous story of a country and the people who lived there. Particularly good, as showing the background story of a country in the news today.
