TICO BRAVO, SHARK HUNTER

Puntarenas, Costa Rica, is where young Tico lives and passes his first tests of manhood on his father's fishing ship. But before he can go out to sea he must overcome academic jealousy of his smarter twin sister Julita and learn to run his own dinghy- so that on the big ship he is able to cope with correspondingly bigger problems. For another much needed story with a South American setting, this has its authentic, exciting moments, but between them the narrative lags disproportionately.
