WILD HORSE TAMER

Fourth in the Tack Ranch stories, about Ben and Dixie Darby and their wild stallion, King, spirit of the ranges of Idaho. This time King has disappeared and we follow the heart-breaking search, until a clue leads them over to Oregon, down to Nevada-and finally to the rodeo corrals of a man whose stock was used in some of the better shows. Gaucho goes with them, the little man from Argentine who could ride anything and who knows the tricks. Just what happens when they know that Black Diablo is King gives a new twist to a good standard western. Illustrated by E. B. Quigley with spot chapter heads- and with a jacket by Pers Crowell. This belongs in the lower teen bracket- and reaches down to the 10's and 11's.
