THE VERY LITTLE DOG

At the level of understanding and interest of the very youngest listener, here is a story of growing bigger, by the author-artist of All About Cats, Cats, Cats, and All About Dogs, Dogs, Dogs. Without moralizing, she has gently suggested that the things the little dog did, like drinking his milk, taking his nap, staying out of the rain- yes, even doing some naughty things, were part and parcel of his growing from a very little dog to a big dog with a big bark. Adroit use of varying sizes of type- simple, bold line and two color pictures -- make this an easy book for a two to four year old to follow. Very heavy board binding; sturdily stitched.
