THE THUNDER EGG

A group of families pioneer in modern times to the Columbia Basin Project where they help each other in countless ways to build their farms. Most important to this group is its church and young Peter soon understands that a church is not a building but people. When Peter finds a valuable rock containing precious stone, he offers the resultant money to buy church land despite his longing for a certain black colt. Peter's offer sparks larger contributions from the rest of the community and he has money enough for the colt. Sunday schools of many Christian denominations will find this book on simple Christian doctrine helpful in their teaching.
