A succession of accidental deaths rouse Reggie Fortune's suspicions. It is an involved tale, with a double purpose for murder running parallel. Reggie is not Quite so annoying as in some of the short stories about him. The complications smooth out. And the whole is recounted in the usual elliptical fashion.
