A good rather career book, with definite vocational value, for this is the story of two high school boys who get a chance, after graduation, to try out through the summer for a scholarship in radio schooling. David has what it taken, in special feature work, originality, enthusiasm, sense of drama; Willis is more stable, has a better , does ""mmer "" to the satisfaction of the customers. The summer proves to be through most of it a continuation of an old rivalry, with Willis usually landing the David is a victim of his own personality -- and has lots of , but he comes through in emergency and gets his breaks, --a chance to parachute to the scene of a bomber crash, to run the studio when the hurricane disrupts the whole of New England. But Willis gets the scholarship -- and David gets a job on the home Almost all aspects of radio are touched upon in the course of their summer experiences. And it is a good story, well told.
