Truth -- a dubious commodity at best and Kirst a somewhat surefirer one -- is about who killed a prominent newspaperman -- a chain-smoking affair which leads up, mostly, to various members of the Munich newspaper world, their quid pro quo relationships (with wives and other men's wives) and financial transactions (whether politics or real estate), etc., etc. This is the second one of Kirst's quasi-procedural homicidal investigations and on hand this time is Chief Supt. Zimmermann who will suffer before it's all over -- further casualties in which his son will die along side of another man's, the joint owner of the paper for which the journalist worked. . . . Right from the Fabrik almost without touching human hands.
