These two impressive books launch the new project which Oxford will carry along with the Phaidon Press, of publishing, with English text, a series of fine art books, brief introductory text and captions, placing individual reproductions. Some color work (less good than the excellent photographic reproductions). Whole plan of concentrating printing of pictures for many nationalities and tongues to bring down price level, is an estimable one.
