In 1937 Dutton published a life of this composer for the same age group, the illustrations were all in black and white, the price was higher, the type was larger for first reading and it included some music. This new one has many pictures by Hafaile Husoni in color, a marvelous price and aims to tell of the ""man and the conditions that made him"". It has been tried out by music teachers in schools throughout the Middle West.
