SOVEREIGN

This is not a play -- it is a series of long monologues in blank verse between Edward and Wally, culminating in the farewell speech. The poetic value is questionable, the tone throughout lofty, a sort of spiritual-sentimental admixture. Opens shortly after their meeting, and from then on, only the Romeo and Juliet angle is presented, nothing of politics. Can't see a place for it. Pass it up.
