by Helen Ayers Davis ‧ RELEASE DATE: June 20, 1969
The word book should really be appended to the title, since Mrs. Davis' program is personal (abstain here; indulge yourself there) and painless and involves no specific regime--just calories consumed in rather dressier fashion which of course entails considerable time in the kitchen. Chocolate aspic (which sounds more alluring than it probably is) weighs in at 41 calories a serving (but here all the ""serving"" indications are very vague). The book is most helpful on some of the peripheral suggestions--morale builders; ""nibblers""; cocktail canapes to go with the alcohol (which is not as sinful as one might have believed); etc., etc. Lots of recipes, on the flossy side, along with cottage cheese in 17 new formats.
