MONEY TO BURN

First of a new crime series -- to be called Armchair Mysteries -- under the McKay imprint, this is a packed-with-action yarn of theft and murder in an establishment that sells furniture on the installment plan. A fire, where no cause is evident -- a theft, in a locked cashier's cage -- a murder, when all the suspects had alibis -- and three beauties who confuse the detective's sensibilities, combine to provide the reader with entertainment --and not too great a strain on the brain cells.
