STORMS ON THE LABRADOR

A rather unusual story of a strange lumberman in far-off Labrador, of his violent temper, deep passions, slow gentleness towards the woman he has always loved. And of that woman's small son and his devotion to the dog that the man had bought -- and of the problems the dog created between them. A man's story, with its background of lumbering and fishing and hunting and the effect of long seclusion in too close quarters on men's tempers; and a boy's story for the adventure and the love of boy and dog. Definitely original in handling and above average in content.
