FISHING FOR FUN

Mr. Hoover on fishing is partisan, singleminded and dogmatic-- he is completely for fishermen. (He notes that the crime rate is up in non-fishing circles and finds this of quiet significance.) His is a reasonable, fishy logic. (Any man who starts posing with a fish on his line probably has his hat in the presidential ring.) This jocular, avuncular, totally committed effort should not be confused with the political Hoover of the interminable speeches. On fishing, he's fun, and on devotee of rod and reel will be able to quarrel with his short paean to his pastime.
