HOW TO BUILD YOUR OWN HOUSE

A real stand out amidst the welter of do-it-yourself books for beginners! Here is a hammer blow by blow description for three basic house plans -- a one story ranch house and modern house and a two story town house- including directions for everything except foundations, plumbing and electrical wiring. The drawings are extremely simple, nothing irrelevant in either text or illustration to confuse the rankest amateur and a unique approach to budgeting both time and money, since the expenditures in both lines are given by the weekend, designed for the use of couples with only limited capital and spare time for the project. The author has built his own house and checked with many others to provide these down-to-earth plans, taking an estimated year to build. The latitude allowed for future changes and personal taste assure this as a sound investment.
