PENGUINS LIVE HERE

Here"" is a bare, rocky island somewhere in the antarctic sea where the Adelie penguins come every year to breed and raise their young -- and to pose for Audubon Society photographs that are distinctly superior to the pictures in Eberle's most recent titles. Unfortunately, there are no photos or drawings of the most unusual part of the penguins' life -- their long swim to winter quarters and their underwater fishing. Yet this is one of this series' more agreeable episodes -- as effortless to read as it must have been to compile.
