BEATRICE THE BALLERINA

I can't see this for anything more than a New York comic strip -- but why a book? Story in caricatures and captions of La Chienne Fatale, the famous ballerina, whose mother was a Russian wolfhound and whose father was an English bulldog. Satire on the life of a true artiste, with a dig (professionally inspired, no doubt -- as the creator had a career of his own in the ballet) at the ballet in all its phases. The humor is not down my particular alley. But then I didn't like Nartingale.
