THE BIG BOOK OF REAL BOATS AND SHIPS

The text in this series is, fortunately, becoming simpler in language and concept, and matches more closely the picture book format of which older children may be suspicious. Again the text by Benjamin Brewster covers a great deal of material -- some types of ships and their uses, early types of sailing vessels, ship vocabulary, flag, whistles and bell signals, light signals. The pictures are big, broad, and colorful -- guaranteed to bring forth a breathless ""oh boy!"" from ship lovers.
