This is a book to sell carefully, if your customers are fundamentalists and we don't mean conservatives, but the dyed-in-the-wool variety who would rather fight than advance one step or give in on one point, this is the book for them and Machen will be well known to them. For years he has been the leader of the opposition. Always in the fray. He is the author of several other books that sell steadily to his following. The book is well written and his points are often well taken, but he has the power to make you feel that you must believe him or fight with him. He is so completely dogmatic that it is infuriating at times. But it is good for those who like him.
