by J. McDowell--Ed. Richards ‧ RELEASE DATE: July 1, 1968
The subject of this testimonial volume was, for forty-one years, professor of Church History, Church Polity and Apologetics at Columbia Theological Seminary (Presbyterian) in Decatur, Georgia. Colleagues and former students offer a variety of essays, largely in the field of New Testament studies, in tribute. Contributors include such prominent European theologians as Cullman (Switzerland), Jeremias (Germany) and Torrence (Scotland), along with American scholars. Two of these are sons of Professor Robinson, themselves now professors in American theological schools. Selection of subject-matter being left in each case to the contributors, the volume does not offer a balanced or unified treatment of a theme. It does provide some interesting cross-sectional slices into current theological trends.
