SATURDAY MAGIC

Jack Bechdolt is doing nice things, and I thoroughly enjoyed this city boy yarn. Coincidence is a bit overplayed, but on the whole, the story of a boy whose stage ancestry came out in a passion for magic -- and who got himself in deeper than he planned when he boasted that he could walk on hot coals -- is a thoroughly readable and refreshing original story.
