UNFINISHED JOURNEY

A Welshman tells his story, from the days of his work in the mines of South Wales, through the Boer and the World Wars, gambling, recruiting, soap box oratory, communism, labor party, every sort of job, no job at all, the dole, sporadic writing -- and finally the settling down to writing as a profession. A challenging book in its survey of changing labor conditions; interesting in the handling but a difficult book to get to the right market. Limited in appeal over here. The introduction by David Lloyd George gives it a good send-off.
