When the baby-sitter didn't come, Mrs. Appletree took Eve, four-and-a-half, and Pam, a toddler, to the department store with her to buy a new dress. Eve behaved beautifully most of the time but Para ran away. Following the trail of Pam's discarded clothing, Eve finds her at last, curled up naked under the long skirt of a store dummy. Mrs. Appletree takes the girls to a restaurant for lunch, where she proclaims them both ""Perfect ladies."" About as pointless as a portrait of a baby on a bearskin rug.
