Archaeologist Joyce searches, and searches, for a cinerary urn with a rare Etruscan scroll sealed within it -- its history corroborated by young and attentive Antonio who knew that it was sold by his great-great-great grandfather to a British collector. It was subsequently stolen and last seen sixteen years ago although now it attracts further interest -- and casualties (three). Even if you can read the handwriting on the vase, this is several footfalls ahead of the genre and well written within it.
