EMERGENCY ROOM

Only the beginning of this one is spent in the ER when Jack Huchette, intern on duty, is blamed for the death of a drug addict -- unjustly. A stubborn as well as good young doctor, Jack is not one to throw in the sponge or leave it behind, and he fights a higher power structure at the hospital helped by the girl he loved until she's killed. Stabbed so precisely that it must have been the work of another medical man -- She's known many. Kerr, a doctor (The Clinic, etc.) has written more of a crime story than an IV league procedural this time although the latter's the market which it satisfies with a fair amount of bodily activity of all kinds.
