THE INCONVENIENT BRIDE

The agile activities of John Marshall, private investigator, as -- needled by his Suzy -- he takes up the defense of a brushed-off British bride, Barbara, whose husband, Stacy, a war casualty, has been immured and kept insensible via opiates by his mother. Refusing annulment of the marriage, realizing that control of a fortune is the motivation, Marshall disrupts the opposition, reunites the young people. If bloodless, this still manages some busy moments and a bright manner.
