THE AIR WE LIVE IN

A wealth of statistics in seven brief chapters, and what makes for rather mundane reading will serve chiefly as a source of numbers to impress in writing term papers. The usual topics are treated air as ""the breath of life""; where pollutants come from; what ""you"" can do to help but without much vigor or stirring any particular response. Lucy Kavaler's Dangerous Air (1967, 750, J-278) is far more effective for the same audience.
