I'M OWEN HARRISON HARDING

A literary cousin to The Catcher in the Rye, Owen lives in a small Michigan town and runs the gamut of emotions caused by the tragicomedies of his 15-year-old world. His brother is in Okinawa, his mother dies, his father remarries, he almost joins the gang to get a lay from a local babe, and he feels great when things turn out okay. Told as a personal narrative, and though Owen isn't as tragic or appealing as Holden Caulfield, the mind's at work and the boy's all right.
