A DYING IN THE NIGHT

A wary cat-and-rat vigil -- between Martin Ellis, the son of an elderly man who is brutally battered to death and the young woman who had been kind to him and had also never fully recovered from her earlier love for Martin who now finds that he has inherited little when he needs considerably more and deserves nothing at all. The scene is once again British and whereas the story is rarely exciting, it is steadily interesting.
