THE OPEN WAY

A sober venture is taken on by Jim Birkett when, home from the wars, he makes good a vow to a dead comrade to do unto others as the latter had done unto him. The six people who need to know that God is their Senior Partner come in an assortment of relatives, friends, and acquaintances, rich and poor, from a boy on parole to an elderly aunt. sheds an old romance for one more suitable to his new philosophy, while his sister Kit covers that it is Gil Zukor more than his horses who has brought her happiness in her job at Twelvetrees stables. A story of spiritual pathfinding with many fords to cross.
