New Edition of COOKING FOR TWO

A sound treatise on household management, with rules about buying, choice of staples, quantities, selection, storage, the use of frozen foods, basic kitchen supplies, a few rules of nutrition and menu building. Then breakfasts, luncheons, dinners -- menus and recipes, tea, snacks, buffet service, late suppers; and -- in the last section -- a motley collection of tempting recipes for tidbits, for desserts, breads, cakes, candles, etc. I've seen better arranged books from the recipe and menu angle, but there's a wide range of information for young housekeepers.
