I MARRIED THEM

Frantic family frescoe providing mild hilarity in a story of a girl who married into a family of doctors, and became one of a wildly erratic, energetic household in a disintegrating, Victorian mansion in upstate New York. Carrie, her mother-in-law, met every situation with equanimity; Mac, her -- father-in-law, circulated independently; George, her husband, made her his guinea pig; Aunt Grace painted, and Pim, her sister-in-law, made trouble with her suspicions of her father and her own succession of unsuitable suitors. Haphazard annals, of the life with family genre. The publishers have tremendous faith in it. We thought it amusing but not top drawer.
