THE GOOD KNIGHT GHOST

A Mediaeval fantasy of knight, dragon and fair lady takes place in a story of a bit of the unusual in modern museum life. Mr. Modderbod, a curator whose specialty is armour, has been lecturing to a group of grade school students on an especially interesting newly acquired suit. Mike and Karen, two of the children, are locked into the museum along with Mr. Modderbod after hours. Mike discovers Sir Rob, who has been haunting the suit of armour ever since a dragon reduced him in size, while he was trying to rescue a lady. Mr. Modderbod, in his turn, discovers Kensington, the dragon, who had been embroidered into a piece of tapestry by the lady in question. The results, in the attempts to straighten out difficulties, hinge on the circumstances that create them and are spontaneously tickling and riotous. Jeanne Bendick, who is better known for young fact books, shows her skill in a well worked narrative and funny accompanying drawings.
