WILL ANYONE WHO SAW THE ACCIDENT...

When a suspected hit-and-run driver is also young, spoiled and admittedly drunk, public animosity is even more intense. Steve Predaux is suspected of killing a man while at the wheel of his father's Jaguar. His father, a successful solicitor, attempts to destroy evidence, for the elder Predaux lives by the rule that nothing is really wrong unless it is found out. In this way he has, without any twinges of conscience, maintained both a mistress and a happy wife until the police pull away the pleasant facade of his life. Nice balance of personal crisis and public justice in a British setting.
