THE CORPORATION GAME: How to Win the War with the Organization and Make Them Love It

You don't have to be a pawn in the corporate game"" according to corporation man Koehler who will show you how to break the organization's lockstep while at the same time moving up in the company hierarchy. If you play your cards right you can achieve ""self. actualization"" and that big juicy promotion even though most conglomerates expect their employees to ""check their individuality at the door."" Does this sound self-contradictory? It is. Koehler gets on a soapbox to say To Thine Own Self Be True--and then tells you how you can best manipulate the manipulators. Image is ""a powerful instrument of shaping and controlling behavior""; learn how to achieve ""creative visibility"" (make the bastards notice you); learn the principles of self-motivation; develop your objectives, then plan to reach your goals; be an initiator not a""reactor."" Enough? Koehler seems to be bucking to become the Norman Vincent Peale of the corporate world: How to Make Friends and Influence the Cog Above You.
