THE HAPPY HOLLISTERS AT CIRCUS ISLAND; THE HAPPY HOLLISTERS AND THE SECRET FORT

Two more stories about the Hollisters (see reports on p. 385, 1953 for former books in this modern day Rov Boys series) takes the flagrantly happy family, first, to Florida where Mr. Hollister must buy a houseboat for a client of his. But they don't leave before a mystery starts to brew. A poodle is stolen from a local dog show and when the kids fly south to Circus Island where the boat is to be bought from a clown, they also find the thieves who stole the dog for circus purposes. In the second adventure they stay put at home but uncover excitement in tempo with a road construction company's unearthing of an old Revolutionary War fort. The inevitable crook enters the picture in the form of a strange man in town who is after the gold buired there. The Hollisters catch him too. A pict of exuberance and improbability palls pronto.
