by Jimmy Collins ‧ RELEASE DATE: Sept. 6, 1935
Not a serious book on how to be one, but anecdotal and autobiographical material about experiences in learning to fly, and later testing planes for a living. Nothing technical, some of it tragic, some amusing. Straightforward, easy style, with no trimmings.... Collins death in a crash and his wide reputation in the field give a certain news value to the book. Again a book for plus sales to older boys.
