THE CANAL TRIP

When Bill Briggs started his boat trip up the canal he had five cats on board, but by the time he was ready for the return trip there were seven. Hardly a spectacular increase--to justify the story. One of the newcomers wandered on from a neighboring boat, and the second was rescued by the others who started a small riot to save her from the tougher felines on the docks.... Extraneous flotsam, and the woodcut illustrations are cluttered and clumsy.
