Amatory, emotional to mystic touches for the life story of Irish born Sheila, whose incredible career is as unpredictable as was Sheila herself. Born with the gift of sight, she meets ridicule as a child and decides to go into a convent, but finds she has no vocation. She leaves with her sister for London and the stage, despite its reputation of dubious respectability. She stays clear of immorality until she meets Sunny, whose genius and his homosexual past have made him famous. Guided by her inner vision, and feeling sure that she can free him, she marries him. But his past catches up with him, and he is killed by Geoffrey. Sheila turns, then, to nursing in the war, she goes into psychatric work, helps a Mexican-American flier to recovery, falls in love and marries him. C'est a'!
