IN A PUMPKIN SHELL

A Mother Goose ABC with lovely pictures -- most of them in rich color- and all filled with the kind of detail that small children love. The rhymes are chosen not necessarily because they start with A or B or C- or what have you- but because a key word appears with the key letter. There's lots of humor here, in both jingles and pictures, and the traditional forms of the nursery rhymes will delight those who are at odds with some of the modern versions. A not overcrowded first Mother Goose for the picture book age.
