CHOOKY

The Penrod adventures of an eleven-year-old Mississippi boy, Chooky, and his playmates with plenty of commotion, and mis-adventures. There is the hand-made ironclad boat, selling religious tracts which led somehow to a wonderful hunting knife (paid for by father), a calamitous painting of a store, and mud and muddle. Wackily logical steps leading downward to mishaps and chuckles. Light-hearted humor, ripe for frothy reading.
