This book covers the general areas in which difficulties about money arise and does so is a reasonably straightforward and sensible way. The author begins with some general advice about attitudes towards money, which would probably involve more time than most people would care to devote to the subject, though it is basically realistic. He then discusses setting up a spending plan, shopping for the right things (and at the right time), savings accounts, insurance, checking accounts, investment, and using credit. He examines at length the problems involved in buying a house; the advisability of taking a second job; social security and supplementary benefits for retirement; and various types of investment plans. It's unquestionably a helpful book.
