THE PSYCHOPATHIC DOG

Chooie, of unspecified breed, led a highlighted career trying to live up to the turbulent family of which Sousa wrote in My Family, Right or Wrong. Their distracting personalities drove the small dog from early problems of getting enough to eat, to a grand debacle at a church bazaar, to devotion to a cat and her offspring, to passion for Bingo who brought all his friends to stay at the Sousa's, to sliding down slides and waging war against the gulls. Chooie attended church and bars indiscriminately; she enjoyed breakneck rides on an express wagon; and her exhibitionism, erratic demoralization and neuroses are told in hyperbole that provides some real laughs.
